The CAS - a french prime minister analysis centrer - has published this week a report on foreign investment in agriculture. See attach document.

The overall thesis is to accept that states can't regulate this process, and investors will autoregulate their practices with social responsability.

It will be very usefull to see back in the history when and where foreign investors had act with social responsability...

From my point of view, the document fall (very) short, because it doesn't include any analysis of the economic efficency of large scale farms. As we know today, large scale agriculture is not the most efficient way to produce food and other goods...

Best regards
