News from the project
Discussion details
Below is a short paragraph to summarise what happened in this first year for us:
In the first year of our project to improve and increase access to employment opportunities and promote economic empowerment for particularly marginalised young women and men (age 15-35) in nine districts of Tanzania, we have carried out a market scan to identify employment opportunities and skills that are in demand. Based on the information collected, we are training youths (so far 2,112) in specific skills through vocational courses and apprenticeship programs. We have also formed YSLA groups and Youth Livelihood forums as a platform through which the youth can meet with government officials and other key decision makers to engage ministries on youth livelihood issues.
My colleague Raymond will also share an additional story from a beneficiary of the project.
