*This week’s major theme is the 68^th Session of the UNGA and the Special Event on the MDGs. The angle of our Facebook and Twitter posts will of course be on the European contribution to these events and the EU priorities for the 68^th UNGA session and the post-2015 agenda. 

MONDAY 23 September: The UN Secretary-General’s High Level Forum to catalyse and accelerate further action to achieve the MDGs.

TUESDAY 24 September: We will be posting about the 68^th UNGA General Debate kickoff, just as we will be sharing content about the live online Kapuscinski lecture with Esther Duflo and José Antonio Ocampo at 12:00 CET/18:00 EST. Commissioner Piebalgs and UNDP’s Helen Clark will give introductions to the lecture titled Effective Poverty Reduction Beyond MDGs.

WEDNESDAY 25 September: UN Special Event towards achieving the MDGs – our post will be related to the EU’s contribution.

THURSDAY 26 September: Promotion of the Young Voices Against Poverty video contest on Facebook. We would be grateful for any shares of this Facebook post to help us increase submissions to the contest. For more info, contest rules and banners, go here.

FRIDAY 27 September: Announcement of the confirmation of former WTO Director-General, Pascal Lamy, to EDD13 in November. The posts will link to speaker information on the eudevdays.eu website.
