Discussion details

We have set-up several environments that we may use for the new EuropeAid's website.

OpenPublic distribution (Drupal 7)

OpenPublic is the Drupal content management system for government. Tailored for building government and public policy websites.

It's one of the two Drupal solutions recommended by Acquia, the other one being the Acquia Commons distribution (with a focus on social & collaborative features but currently based on version 6 of Drupal).

It looks like a solid foundation to build on. Feel free to subscribe and to test it a bit.

Standard Drupal 7 environment

We should mainly use it for development and testing purposes

Managing news

Free bonus! News & data aggregation engine with visualisation components like maps & charts (incl. automatic geo-tagging). Interesting product that could be used internally for our News/press section. Have a look!
