Discussion details

According to FAO, we can put an end to hunger. But in order to reach this goal, countries must invest more in family farming which is key to increase the global food production. Small-scale farmers have been left to their own devices for far too long; actions are urgently needed to support their efforts to adopt new production approaches and link with markets. This requires the creation of strong, well-structured farmers’ organisations that can represent and defend the interests of small-scale farmers. CTA has recently co-published with ISF Cameroon Professionalisation of family farming, a book aimed at supporting development of the farming family sector. We invite you to discover the publication and other titles on family farming.
