Promoting learning between countries of the South
Discussion details
Our new member, Charles Dhehwa, has posted some interesting points on his blog about the promotion of learning between countries of the South.

He notes that Indian companies have been very good at adapting technologies in ways that can empower African entrepreneurs to do the same. What makes India an ideal learning companion for most African countries is that they can see adaptation processes in practice. It is difficult to learn from developed countries most of whom have forgotten pathways through which they became what they are. They can’t even remember the pain of learning from your own mistakes. For developing countries, India is more like a learning partner still in the processing of testing and re-purposing technologies from other parts of the world.
Importantly, Charles also points out that India can also learn from Africa on issues such as land use patterns that can prevent soil and water contamination.

The RNSF team likewise notes that Africa is developing interesting ways to implement mobile banking systems even as India and other countries do the same in parallel. Increasing exchanges of experiences are important and we hope that our members will use the IESF platform share them. g partner still in the processing of testing and re-purposing technologies from other parts of the world
