 Reflections on stereotypes, gender bias and advertising

From my point of view and from perspective on non-sexist education, both stereotypes and gender biases that are often in our culture and we can easily observe in some media, are based on three main criteria: the analysis of made from a male perspective, the existence of personal characteristics (character, temperament ..) and behavioral (adequate or inadequate) as the basis of sexual differentiation argument.


Through the time the womens have had that developed and use strategies to try to survive in a world designed for and by men and have had to adapt and integrate into a world where the roles and personality was developed from a male perspective. Is disturbing to note that some attitudes are attributed mainly to a certain gender. For example, the tenderness, solidarity and frivolity still linked to the feminine personality.


If the future socio-economics us not fails , gender equality will be a fact in many countries around the world,I refer not only to equal domestic tasks and responsibilities.
I firmly believe that the vehicle of awareness is still schooling but should be careful in spreading stereotypical ads with messages like: home care and beauty as the main concerns of women. On the other hand, some market segmentation strategies (male vs. female) in order to increase sales, unintentionally, can help keeover time certain gender stereotypes. But why Think there is a gray hair dye one for female and another for male.


I do not think, many men came to mind to write a book, with good commercial prospects, on the peculiar situation of the human male. In the line of extensive publications on the world of women. Often, the terms masculine and feminine are used symmetrically only for pure form, and legal documents...
