The participants of the workshop started yesterday defining the structure of the book-to-be of recommendations and good practices on social protection from the perspective of informal economy.

They reflected on the major issues of social protection for the informal sector, in particular in terms of challenges, responses and stakeholders. Organised in three thematic groups (legal & instituional frameworks, access to social protection, community-based safety nets), they identified key topics such as scheme design, information & awareness raising and strengthening of community systems (among others) as well as useful case studies and good practices based on their research and experiences.

Soon it is going to be time to start writing!
