Regional Workshop on Social Protection

Hello ActionAid team!

As you know I resigned as Team Leader of the RNSF project but continue to support the project in an advisory role. The regional workshop that was planned some time ago is now becoming a reality. We are still waiting for final approval on the dates and location but we expect it to be in Nairobi, Kenya in February.

Unfortunately only one person can be invited from the project and it should be someone with good English and writing skills. The reason is that we are using the "Write Workshop" format described in the attached documents. At the end of the workshop a draft will already be provided with the inputs based on your experience. The document will be published and shared widely. 

There will be some preparatory work that we will request participants to provide and we will provide guidance for that.

Please nominate someone from your office as the participant in the planned workshop.

Also, please suggest one academic expert on social protection as related to people dependent on the informal economy and one from government. So a total of 3 persons will be coming from India to attend the workshop. 

Please note that 4 key subject areas within social protection to be addressed in the workshop as described in the attached.
