Small forest producers participated in business fair

A great experience selling had the forest producers group that accompanied the Project Positioning of Forest Governance in Colombia to the Third International Wood Responsible Business fair, organized by the WWF, which took place in Medellin.
For most small producers, some of wood and bamboo, and transformed from the Coffee Zone and Tolima, was his first experience in a business conference, so they could meet the requirements of foreign buyers to meet with and engage negotiation dialogue.
Growers were also in discussion current issues facing the forest sector by undertaking academic chats.
The methodology of forestry plantations without use of chemicals, general reflections on the process of legality in the project PGFC area, the progress of the study of law developed by EIA in Latin America, Lacy Act and the implications for the Latin American market in the United States, were the talks to which participants had access to the Business.
The Project positioning of Forest Governance in Colombia, is funded by the European Union, and led by the CARDER, in partnership with Corantioquia Corpocaldas, CRC, Codechocó, Corponariño, Corponor, CRQ, Cortolima, Corpourabá, and CVC.
