Coming together under the EU-funded SWITCH-Asia project Sustainable Carpet and Pashmina, Mercy Corps and the University of California conducted a comprehensive study on strategies to improve the international competitiveness of pashminas produced in Nepal through cleaner and more efficient processes.
With reference to the pashmina industry, the study provides key fndings and detailed recommendations on:
- marketing, labelling and certification;
- general business practices in the sector;
- business operations and documentation;
