Students learn about the Forest Governance Positioning Project in Colombia

Tenth semester Students of Forestall Engineering from Tolima University were accompanied by the "Forest Governance Positioning Project" team during their visit to Pereira. The purpose was to visit forestall companies of the region within their university practice of subjects such as Forest Harvesting and Wood Process.
During the visit, which took place on September 24th, 27 students learned under the guidance of the PPGFC about cultivation and utilization of bamboo at the transformation company: Ecoguadua, located in Eupen farm. Also, members of the Project, presented in detail the actions that are currently underway regarding the Forest Governance.
This activity, under the guidance of PPGFC becomes an important educational work that provide students with a broad overview about the processes running on forests in the country and in the dissemination of the importance of legality in the forest sector.
The Forest Governance Positioning Project is funded by the European Union and led by CARDER, in association with Corantioquia, Corpocaldas, CRC, Codechocó, Corponariño, Corponor, CRQ, Cortolima, Corpourabá, CVC, Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, Asocars and Aldea Global.
