Discussion details

Dear group members,

The EU-funded programme ARCHIPELAGO, which aims to strengthen the employability of the youth and the entrepreneurial capacity of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in 12 target countries of the Sahel and Lake Chad region will be present during the EDD at the Global Village (booth E12-R).

At the European Development Days we will also launch our success stories brochure and we would like to invite you to attend these two events:

- 21 June at 11:30 CEST onsite room L3 and online - HORTICULTURE IN GHANA FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE: a Ghanaian-Dutch cooperation initiative
to bring about sustainable growth in the Ghanaian horticulture sector.
The TU Delft together with the Kwadaso Agricultural College (KAC) of
Kumasi developed a 4-month vocational training programme in close
collaboration with a selection of lead farmers in Kumasi to equip the
Ghanaian youth with necessary skills to find a job or become an
entrepreneur in the horticulture sector.
* During the event we will project a short documentary video about the project.

- 22 June at 11:15 CEST onsite room L2 and online - The ARCHIPELAGO Programme at mid-term: Presentation of the projects' achievements and success stories.
The ARCHIPELAGO approach is based on partnerships between African and European private sector organisations, together with technical and vocational education and training (TVET) centres, joining hands to implement dual vocational and entrepreneurship trainings and support to integration of young people into the African labour market.
During the webinar we will present some success stories from our partnership projects in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Mauritania, Senegal and Chad.

Looking forward to meeting you at the EDD!

Best regards,
