Colleagues from the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change recently shared a robust work on Climate Change Impacts Fact Sheets on some 24 key countries:
The Climate Change Impacts Fact Sheets:
· The UK Department of Energy and Climate Change asked the Met Office Hadley Centre to coordinate a project through 2011 and 2012 to collate information on observed and projected impacts of climate change in 24 countries.
· The project delivered detailed scientific reports for each country in 2011 before the UNFCCC COP17. For the reports see: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/climate-change/policy-relevant/obs-projections-impacts
· The Met Office is now making summary ‘fact sheets’ from the detailed reports, some of which were made available at CoP18 in Doha.
· The 24 countries are: Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, Peru, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Turkey, UK and USA.
