Ukraine celebrates Sustainable Energy Week 2015

Ukraine hosts this year’s Sustainable Energy Week in the picturesque city of Vinnytsa. Find the most useful event of the SEW program and join the celebration!

For the fifth time Ukraine joins the celebration of European Sustainable Energy Week, which runs this year from 15 to 19 of June. The EU Delegation in Ukraine, USAID and Association “Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine» together with Vinnitsa City Council are the coorganizars of the event.

The opening ceremony of the Week 2015 will be held in Vinnitsa on June 15. A number of events will be held all over Ukraine, including outdoor educational events for the general public, which demonstrate cities’ achievements of the Action Plans for sustainable energy development.

European Sustainable Energy Week will bring together actors of the energy sector and the public to discuss the issue of energy efficiency and energy saving, effective and rational use of resources and climate change.

European Sustainable Energy Week is a new initiative, launched in 2006. Since then Europe organizes a scope of events to improve energy efficiency and increase the use of renewable energy. These events promote best practices, inspire new ideas and unite people to achieve EU energy objectives and goals related to climate change.
