-UNEP Outreach Event: The Value of Regional Networks of Climate Change Offices
UNEP is pleased to welcome you at the Indonesia Pavilion on Thursday December 4th from 18:00 to 20:00 hours. Climate change officials from Southeast Asia and from Latin America and the Caribbean, will share their experiences and further aspirations as regards to the support they have been receiving through Regional Networks of Climate Change Offices, aiming at enhancing their capacity to respond to the climate challenges they face domestically.

Saturday, 6 December
-The ‘adaptation gap report 2014’ by the United Nations Environment Programme
Technical presentation of the adaptation gap report 2014 (introduction, presentation by three speakers and Q&A with the audience). Inspired in the ‘emissions gap report’, the adaptation gap report identifies gaps in finance, knowledge and technology, among others, which need to be bridged to increase resilience to climate change.

-Climate and Health Summit
This side event, co-hosted by WHO, will feature talks from WHO and CCAC partner the World Bank, along with CCAC Secretariat Head Helena Molin Valdes and Kouadio Kouame Georges from Cote d'Ivoire. The speakers will discuss climate change as an opportunity to invest in a cleaner, healthier, more equitable world.

The objective of the 2014 Global Landscapes Forum is to define the role of sustainable landscapes for a new climate and development agenda. To this end, the Forum will assess the implementation of landscapes approaches, the role of land uses in a new climate agreement, pathways towards a green economy and the relevance of landscapes research and practice for the proposed Sustainable Development Goals.

This event, presented by Mr. Ahmad Alhendawi, UN Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth (TBC), will feature how the UN is making a difference through education and raising awareness. It will present examples of climate conscious behaviours from children, youth and professionals, followed by discussion.

-Looking forward: REDD+ post 2015

This event will provide latest scientific update pertaining to the short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs) and an overview of the CCAC work in brick production sector and Heavy-Duty Diesel initiative with a focus on black carbon emissions. Impacts of black carbon on health in Latin America and Asia, as well as overall impacts on mountain regions will be presented at the event. Presentations will be followed by a panel discussion on Brick and Diesel initiative impacts, in particular on air quality and public health.

-Microfinance as a strategic partner to foster Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA)
The event will present the microfinance industry as a strategic partner for governments looking for private sector investment towards adaptation of rural vulnerable populations. It will also showcase the business opportunity in financing Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) alternatives. Private and public sector players will publicly commit to support adaptation finance by providing their clients with EbA alternatives, e.g. in terms of: number of loans, insurance mechanisms, clients supported, ha managed by microfinance institutions, or USD destined for adaptation to climate change using EbA.

-People’s Summit on Climate Change
The People´s Summit is an alternative forum that demands that climatic justice should be reflected in international and national policies. It believes that the people’s proposals to change the consumerist and extractivist model that is destroying Mother Earth and the relationship between humans should be taken into consideration. The People´s Summit on Climate Change will be held parallel to the COP 20, from the 1st-12th December. Its central days will be the 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th.
