Vanuatu Renewable Readiness Assement - IRENA

The International Renerable Energy Agency has published the Vanuatu Renewable Readiness Assement (RRA). The Ministry of Climate Change and Natural Disaster of Vanuatu welcomes the puiblication of the report. They note that the RRA is particularly useful since the report brings together  energy suppliers, regulators and users for the first time. They also recognise that the RRA can help Vanuatu meet their National Energy Road Map targets and reduce their dependence on imported fuels. Vanuatu has already begun to implement some of the reccomendations of the RRA e.g. development of solar, wind, geothermal, bioful and hydropower resources.
