In many parts of the world, people with disabilities have far less access to education or employment than other people in the community.

In September 2013, heads of states came together at the United Nations to discuss how development can be made inclusive of persons with disabilities.

The EU financed Say Yes to Inclusion! campaign aimed at raising awareness in view of this high level meeting on disability and development. In total, the campaign mobilised over 15 000 persons around the world.
