In addition to the more complete information on the Pages, which explain the details, I would like to emphasise the invitation to share your views on both the general and the specific issues. The actions are influenced by what is measured and monitored, and therefore it would be important to have solid data on the key issues.

The data here is of varying quality, but could be improved; there is a lot of information available that can be combined in ways that give meaningful indicators. This is for me a key point to keep in mind - to not get carried away and prioritise what is easily monitorable, but focus on things that matter for results.

I hope these pages and data are useful for your reflections in the development finance discussions. Bearing in mind the caveats (again, see the pages for discussion), I think the data gives a good indication of the situation.

My greater hope is that this would trigger a debate on what kind of data are reliable and relevant, and how to improve these. If there is a critical mass ready and interested to exchange, this may be a useful contribution to improving the data on finance, and thereby actions undertaken to advance the common agenda.
