WORKSHOP WITH THE REGIONAL AUTONOMOUS CORPORATION CVC

The Project Positioning of forest governance in Colombia (Project financed by the European Union) held a working session on 14 and 15 March with operational and technical management of the Regional Autonomous Corporation of CVC. During this meeting there was a presentation of the Timber Cubing Guide. In the process the basic information was socialized to cube timber, the formulas to be used and the steps that must be carried to improve this.

Also jointly presented protocols developed by CAR members of the Action to perform monitoring and control permits and authorizations logging, to monitor and control industries or forestry companies and the protocol for monitoring and mobilization of forest products and by-products in order to advance the process of validating documents. It is hoped that this Workshop to be developed in all CAR members, allowing these protocols are adopted and implemented as soon as possible. Finally came the proposal Simplified Forest Management Plan, a document that will be reviewed by the technicians of the CVC, in order to receive the comments provide feedback document.
