The next 1-day IGE training course will take place in Brussels on April 26, 2018.
Objectives:
- Participants understand the green economy concept and its contribution to EU development priorities;
- Participants become familiar with the place of the green and circular economy in EU policy framework and its importance to partner countries;
- Participants are aware of the potential benefits of green economy approaches in EU development cooperation and the links that exist with relevant sectors of EU cooperation;
- Participants are equipped with knowledge and tools (project examples, case studies, methodological guidance…) to integrate green economy approaches in their tasks.
Target audience
- The course targets DEVCO and NEAR staff (HQs and EU Delegations);
- The course is relevant to staff working in diverse sectors of cooperation where green economy approaches can deliver benefits and need to be integrated, including environment sectors, climate change, private sector development and investments, employment, agriculture, energy, education etc.;
- The course is also open, according to availability of seats, to colleagues from other DGs and to staff from development partners and stakeholders.
