2017 Global Wildlife Conference / CMS COP12 - Their Future is Our Future

From 23 to 28 October, the 12th Meeting of the Parties to the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS or Bonn Convention) will be held in Manila, Philippines. The mission of the Convention is to provide an international platform of policymaking and science for the conservation of migratory wildlife around the planet. 

The Conference of the Parties or COP, is the decision-making forum of the Convention where policies and strategies are agreed on wildlife conservation at national and international level. 

This year's theme is: Their Future is Our Future and focuses on the need for sustainable development for both wildlife and people. It follows the recent trend of showing the interconnections between people and the planet, it's ecosystems and other inhabitants.
