5th Call for Proposals (CFP5) for the Energy and Environment Partnership (EEP) Programme

Dear EEP Stakeholder,

We are very pleased to announce to you the opening of the 5th Call for Proposals (CFP5) for the Energy and Environment Partnership (EEP) Programme which will open for projects submission online on 19 September 2012 and close for submissions on the 10^th October 2012.

This announcement comes amid a very important transition for the EEP Programme as this Fifth Call marks the end of the Programme’s First Phase of Implementation. It is against this backdrop that certain changes have been made to the EEP model and more changes will be effected while taking into consideration lessons of this First Phase. Please thus accept our sincere apologies for the slight delay in announcing this Call as some of the changeover decisions were still being finalized. A recent example of such changeover decisions is that the maximum EEP grant for each project for this CFP5 has increased to €300,000 from the previous amount of €200,000. Another difference is that this CFP5 will  be conducted online only which means that although you can organise all your responses to the questions of the Application Form using the attached Application Worksheet but the final submission must be made via the Online Application System through the EEP Online  Application System which can be accessed through the EEP website (www.eepafrica.org ).

IMPORTANT: Due to the change made in the maximum project grant, the Section called Financials on the Online Application System will not be enabled now but will only be made available once these changes have been effected latest by Friday 21 September 2012. We encourage you to take time to also study the Online Application Help Document (attached) to help enhance your experience with our Online Application System.

Finally, we would like to bring your attention to the attached formal Announcement of the Call, Guidelines for the 5^th  Call for Proposal and Contract Template, for your perusal and to enhance your understanding of all the requirements in order to be successful in this EEP Challenge Fund. NOTE: You would need the Contract Template only at the full proposal stage of the application and not at this project profile (concept note) stage.
