Description
This year mark’s the third ever session of the Arab Forum for the Environment, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture. Taking place on June 3rd and 4th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this forum will focus on the theme "Restore Land to Build Resilience."
As per the decision of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for the Environment (CAMRE), this forum serves as a vital platform for discussing and developing technical recommendations on emerging environmental issues in the Arab region. It aims to contribute to CAMRE's agenda, providing essential information and priority topics for the Council's decisions.
The forum will also play a crucial role in aligning regional visions and strengthening Arab countries' involvement in shaping the global environmental agenda through the United Nations Environment Assembly.
The objectives are clear: to exchange experiences, identify potential partnerships, and establish regional dialogue among stakeholders to address current environmental challenges and explore future prospects in the Arab region. With policymakers, international and regional experts, and various stakeholders coming together, members aim to foster collaboration and cooperation to drive positive change.
