Art at Work travelling exhibition in Kampala

BOZAR initiated ‘Visionary Africa: Art at Work’ as the extension in Africa of its ‘Visionary Africa’ festival initiative of 2010. It is in support of the ‘Brussels Declaration’ of 2009 which affirms the role of culture in development, and is made possible with the support of the European commission. Conceived as a series of traveling exhibitions in public spaces of African capitals, this initiative proposes a reflection in Africa on the topic of spaces and audiences for art, and the role of artists in urban development.
