📅 Apply Now to participate in the Global Youth Forum on Human Rights Education, from 9-11 December 2025, in Budapest, Hungary.
Join 250 young changemakers, educators, and activists from around the world — from grassroots activists to policy-makers — and work together to build stronger, more inclusive human rights education practices for the years ahead.
Who should apply?
- Young activists, multipliers, and advocates for human rights education
- Education professionals and youth leaders driving change in their communities
- Members of civil society projects, human rights organisations, or youth networks.
The Forum aims to
- Take stock of achievements and challenges of human rights education – and how it addresses the concerns of young people to promote a culture of peace and universal human rights across diverse contexts
- Identify new approaches, resources and emerging issues - such as digital rights, gender equality, and environmental sustainability - to support young activists and educators
- Strengthen global cooperation to build a shared agenda for human rights education and foster resilience within the community of practice.
Co-organised by the Council of Europe Youth & Education Departments and the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, together with leading NGOs like the European Youth Forum and Amnesty International, this forum will take a fresh, critical look at the achievements, challenges, and next steps for human rights education for, with, and by youth.
