EU DEAR funded project #FundingFairerFutures
Event details
Description
Are you a civil society organisation (CSO) working in Europe (EU-27, Western Balkans and Turkey) and the Global South (Asia, Africa, and Pacific Islands)?
Do you focus on climate issues and work with young people, women, local communities, people with disabilities and/or other marginalised groups?
Check out the five different funding opportunities, all with the following timeline:
- 7 March: application deadline
- May/June: start of project
- Climate Action Engagement Fund (CAN Europe)
This call will fund campaigning on “Just Transitions” - with these four guiding pillars:
- Ending reliance on fossil fuels and boosting green transition
- Leveraging the transition to create better lives
- Transforming food systems and agriculture
- Securing the financial resources necessary to drive the transition.
The campaign should challenge systemic inequalities and work towards “a systemic shift towards an equitable, sustainable and inclusive society that tackles the root causes of social and environmental injustices within economic, political, and social structures.”
Grant sizes: 1) €10 000 to €100 000 or 2) from € 1000 - € 10 000
- Feminist Climate Action Fund (WECF)
For whom: CSOs from Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain and Sweden.
The call enables women, gender non-conforming people, feminist civil society organizations (CSOs) and informal inclusive young feminist groups to build capacity, network with climate networks and become active in climate dialogues and policy process at local, national and EU-wide level.
It encourages initiatives that challenge traditional approaches, create systemic change, and advance climate justice by integrating diverse perspectives, particularly those of women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals from historically excluded communities.
Funding can support both established youth organisations and informal groups, located in the European Union, who work on one or more of these actions:
- Strengthening the youth climate movement.
- To engage and reach new audiences, traditionally not engaged in the climate movement.
- To create a legacy through our investment - focusing on your future growth and impact in climate movements.
- Joining the #FundingFairerFutures and Youth Climate Changemakers’ communities.
- Amplifying the Funding Fairer Futures campaign for a just transition.
Grant sizes: € 1000 to € 100 000
