Development Initiatives (DI) and the CALP Network invite to the launch of DI’s latest report ‘Tracking cash & voucher assistance’ which provides a comprehensive and unique assessment of the state of tracking cash and voucher assistance (CVA) used during humanitarian crises.
This event will explore what data on humanitarian CVA is currently available, what that data tells us, and how to harness it to improve coordination and delivery for donors and implementing organisations. Recommendations will be shared to reinforce the need for better data and strengthened reporting platforms to facilitate a better quality and targeted response for those most in need.
The event will be moderated by Paul Harvey (Humanitarian Outcomes) and will feature the following presentation:
* ‘Tracking cash & voucher assistance’, Niklas Rieger (Interim Head of Research & Analysis), Development Initiatives
* ‘Cost-Efficiency of Cash Programs: Design Best Practices & Context-Sensitive Benchmarking’, Caitlin Tulloch (Associate Director, Best Use of Resources), International Rescue Committee
Following the presentation, there will be an engaging discussion with panelists working within the CVA space. Panelists will include:
* Ryan Beech, Programme and Policy Officer at World Food Programme (WFP)
* Frederick Atenaga, Information Management Officer at United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA)
* Chloe de Soye, Policy Officer on Cash Transfers, Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations
Questions from audience members are welcomed and can be directed live using the Zoom Q&A function or submitted by email before the event <amy.cox@devinit.org>.
