DEAR On-site Cluster Meeting_Dublin 2015

After the first Brussels Cluster meetings in May, a series of small meetings are taking place ‘onsite’ around Europe – meaning the DEAR Support Team, on behalf of the European Commission DG DEVCO/B2, is organizing and facilitating the capitalization and capacity building of EU supported Development Education and Awareness Raising (DEAR) projects through one and half day meetings focused on a specific theme and/or area of work within DEAR.

The DEAR Cluster Meeting ‘onsite’ took place in Dublin, Republic of Ireland on the 9th and 10th December 2015.

The purpose of this meeting was to learn from the experiences of represented DEAR projects about the use of DEAR methodologies dealing with issues of economic, social and political changes and crises - and how to assess the resulting outcomes for engaged audiences.

A small number of projects that deal with similar issues have been invited to the event to enable intensive exchanges of experiences of ‘what works’: both from an organisational and from an audience perspective. Outcomes of the meeting will be shared widely with other EC supported DEAR projects - and DEAR Practitioners here at C4Dev plataform - will help to inform future events organised by the DEAR Support Team and DG DEVCO/B2.
