Deutsche Welle Global Media Forum

The DW Global Media Forum 2026 brings together journalists, media leaders, policymakers, researchers, civil society representatives, and innovators from around the world for two days of discussion, exchange, and networking in Bonn.

Under the theme “Journalism out loud,” the conference will examine the pressures and opportunities shaping journalism today. Sessions will explore topics such as press freedom, democratic resilience, artificial intelligence in the newsroom, media innovation, sustainable business models, and the evolving relationship between news organizations and their audiences.

Through keynote conversations, panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities, participants will connect with diverse voices from across the global media landscape and exchange practical ideas for strengthening independent journalism.
