The EEB’s 2012 Annual Conference will focus on what the outcome of the Rio+20 Conference – both its successes and its failures – means for Europe; to what extent it has changed the environment and sustainable development governance framework and provided a stimulus to a greener economy; and what tools and opportunities it provides for addressing future challenges. It will bring together leading figures from governments, EU and international institutions, NGOs and other stakeholders to address the question: ‘how must the EU renew its commitment to sustainable development after Rio?’
