Empowering Youth Voices: The YOU(th) CARE Delegation at the Global Social Economy Forum in Bordeaux

We’re thrilled to announce that YOU(th) CARE for Change project will send a youth delegation to the upcoming Global Social Economy Forum (GSEF) in Bordeaux, France (October 27–31, 2025).

The GSEF is one of the world’s leading events on Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) and transformative local actions.

In the autumn of 2025, the Global Social and Solidarity Economy Forum will be held for the first time in France, following previous events held in Seoul, Montreal, Bilbao, Mexico City and Dakar. This major biennial international event brings together all the stakeholders in the Social and Solidarity Economy ecosystem.

This year’s edition will bring together actors from across the globe to exchange experiences and co-create pathways for a fair, inclusive and caring economy. 

Our YOU(th) CARE delegation - with representatives comung from the 12 countries involved in the project - will join young changemakers from all over the world to explore the intersections of youth, care and sociale and solidarity economy (SSE), and to strengthen youth voices in shaping the future of the social economy.

Throughout the week, our programme will include networking, advocacy, and collective work on a Youth Manifesto, contributing to the final GSEF Declaration 2025.

Programme highlights:

• Monday, October 27 – YOU(th) CARE Internal Day
  Arrivals, introductions and a youth meet-up to share national agendas and priorities
   
• Tuesday, October 28 – Forum Day 1
  Youth Assembly: “Open Space for Youth-led Futures” — a dynamic session led by YOU(th) CARE delegates.
  Afternoon parallel sessions on Care, advocacy, communication, and the Youth Manifesto for GSEF.
   
• Wednesday, October 29 – International Day of Care
  Internal reflections, networking, and an International Panel on Care, featuring voices from Africa, Latin America and Europe.
   
• October 30–31
  Participation in other GSEF activities and the reading of the Final Manifesto.

Together, we will continue building bridges between youth movements and care economies.
