The EU-CA Forum 2026 will bring together EU and Central American authorities, institutions, and key stakeholders to strengthen bi-regional dialogue on trade, investment, and sustainable cooperation, creating shared opportunities for European companies and regional actors.
The Forum will promote strategic alignment between the EU-Central America Association Agreement (AdA) and the Global Gateway Strategy, fostering a more integrated and competitive environment for bi-regional trade and investment.
Building on the AdA and aligned with Global Gateway priorities, discussions will focus on:
- Sustainable trade and value chains
- Connectivity and transport logistics
- Energy transition and green infrastructure
- Digitalisation and innovation ecosystems
- Investment pipelines and financing solutions
Objectives of the Forum include:
- Promoting high-level political and economic dialogue between the EU and Central American partners on regional integration and cooperation.
- Highlighting priority investment projects and presenting them to international investors, development finance institutions and the private sector.
- Mobilising sustainable private capital and facilitating access to financing instruments, including Global Gateway instruments and EU financial partners.
- Creating opportunities for B2B, B2G, and G2G engagement, networking, and partnership building.
The Forum will bring together 120–150 participants and feature keynote speeches and high-level interventions from senior representatives from EIB, EUDs, DG INTPA&DG Trade, partner governments, regional institutions, and private sector leaders from the EU and CA, alongside thematic panel discussions, practical workshops, and networking opportunities.
