Today we celebrate Europe Day, marking the historic Schuman Declaration that set in motion a journey of peace, unity and cooperation. As we reflect on Europe’s path, we also look outward, to our shared responsibilities and partnerships across the globe.

Through the Global Gateway, the European Union is driving forward smart, clean and secure investments in energy, transport and digital infrastructure, always upholding the principles of sustainability and high environmental standards. With a strong green and clean commitment, we aim to support our partners in their transition towards climate neutrality and nature-positive development.

Europe’s leadership on environment and climate action goes beyond setting ambitious goals — it is rooted in global solidarity and a shared responsibility to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Through innovation and equal partnerships, we are working hand in hand with partner countries to create fair, inclusive and sustainable solutions that benefit both people and the planet.
