Description
Be part of the Green Economy Coaition Global Meeting. Entitled Code red for people and planet: Top solutions for scaling a green and fair COVID recovery, it will be for 2 hours each day online, from 29th November – 3rd December online.
On November 29, Bernard Crabbe, Team Leader of the environment mainstreaming & circular economy sector at the European Commission, DG INTPA.F2 will highlight the EU's global response to COVID-19 that integrates the strategic objectives of the EU regarding the environment and climate, as set out in the European Green Deal, and the Digital Agenda.
Post COP26, the participants of the meeting will assess the status of the global recovery agenda, share evidence of what is working in different locations, and decide on shared interventions to scale a green and fair recovery. Over the week the discussions will define a shared manifesto on the top solutions to move from stimulus to reform in order to accelerate an inclusive green COVID-19 recovery.
The event is timely, as the global recovery from COVID-19 is only just beginning and offers unique opportunity to fast-track inclusive economic policy that could protect nature and people. The solutions already exist, but they will only reach scale if all actors work together.
Please visit the updated agenda across all five days that includes side events and networking sessions.
