#GreeningEUcooperation: Car-Free Day
Event details
Description
Car-Free Day was established as a Europe-wide initiative by the European Commission in 2000. Two years later, in 2002, the Commission created the European Mobility Week, with the Car-Free Day as part of a larger celebration to improve public health and quality of life through promoting clean mobility and sustainable urban transport.
On this day, we would like to invite you to explore How EU cooperation can promote green and smart mobility, in line with the ambition of the European Green Deal?
Find some practical ideas and suggestions in the Quick tips: Green mobility: Anchoring environment and climate ambitions in the transport and mobility sector and Activities that qualify for Rio markers in the sustainable transport and mobility sector.
