InfoPoint conference: Skills, jobs and productivity in Africa
Event details
Description
This InfoPoint conference aims to shed light on the EU Global Gateway 360 degrees approach to Skills, jobs, productivity in Africa on the basis of the recommendations of the Africa Development Dynamics 2024 report, a flagship publication produced in partnership between the OECD and the African Union Commission and supported by the European Union. The event will bring together a policy dimension and a programme perspective.
Focusing on these priorities, the OECD-AUC ‘Africa Development Dynamics’ 2024 report will inform Brussels-based African and EU policy-makers of its recommendations. Presentations of the TEI ‘Opportunity-driven Skills and Vocational Educational Training in Africa’ and of the EU funded VET Toolbox II programme in Mozambique will offer concrete examples of implementation. The frameworks of the EU-African Union partnership as well as the EU-OECD cooperation on Africa on these priorities will be recalled.
