Description
The four week online course is for young education practitioners in the formal and non-formal sector, media professionals and members of civil society organisations, as well as faith-based organisations. Fully in English, from 7 October to 3 November, it is structured into four modules that:
- analyse notions of culture, discrimination, racism, majority/minority, inclusion/exclusion, as well as other elements of Intercultural/Interfaith Dialogue
- develop specific competences to defuse and recognise potential conflicts, and actively promote a culture of peace and non-violence
- promote networking among participants involved in global awareness-raising or educational actions, and
- reflect on the concept, principles and methodologies of Global (Citizenship) Education.
The expected workload is ca. 25 hours in total = 6-7 hours/week.

More information about the course:
Participants and tutors: 40 participants, preferably 18-30 year olds. Citizens of the following regions are encouraged to apply: Africa, the Middle East, and Member States of the Council of Europe (CoE) and of its North-South Centre.
Two tutors will accompany all participants. Each participant will learn on their own schedule and pace.
Teaching tools and methods: Hosted on the HELP e-learning platform, the course is based on the CoE’s Global Education Guidelines. Its collaborative and interactive exercises take on a non-formal learning approach.
Recognition: participants who complete the course obtain a certificate of participation.
