International Day for the Eradication of Poverty

Today, we celebrate International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

In developing countries, poverty is very closely linked to environmental degradation, often in the form of a vicious cycle. Addressing land degradation, access to clean water and protection of ecosystems is fundamental to poverty eradication.
