The workshop aims to analyze and promote climate change mitigation and adaptation pathways in Indonesia. It will focus on Indonesia Climate Change Trust Fund (ICCTF) and two European Commission projects, GREEN-WIN and TRANSrisk, with interlinked objectives in Indonesia. This event will attended by approx 50 participants from industry, 2 both local and national goverments, policy makers, NGOs and recearchers. Furthermore, it will be concluded by an open discussion regarding opportunities for collaboration with all attendees.
For GreenWin, the goal of this workshop is to accelerate the sustainable bioenergy business. The particular focus will be to develop and share ideas creating green business models, investment opportunities, and partnership on energy poverty eradication and resilient livelihood with bioenergy. Also, the workshop will engage the assessment of stakeholder network with climate change adaptation and mitigation pathways.
For TRANSrisk, the workshop provides an opportunity to analyze the sustainability and climate resilience of low carbon transition pathways comprising of biofuels made from crop wastes and residues. Through stakeholder consultation, the workshop will help assess the different bioethanol sources and technologies and the value chains associated with each and the associated water and land use issues as well as the implications for agriculture in the context of the country’s climate and development goals.
For ICCTF, to support Indonesia government in order to provide alternative financing mechanisms and to further harmonize and coordinate RAN/RAD-GRK and RAN-API implementation which are currently being implemented in Indonesia.
For Udayana University, this workshop helps to expand vision on bioenergy and bring Udayana researchers and practitioners together to promote on an international debate, exchange ideas, and shed light on current challenges – in short, it aims to stimulate discussion on large-scale bioenergy investments and deals, which have recently received considerable media coverage.
The workshop is divided in three parts.
- Field trip related to community bioenergy production
- Presentation on bioenergy
- Focus Group Discussion.
On the day 0, participants who able to join the field trip will accommodate by committee from Airport to Tukadaya Village in Jembrana. Please remind that you need to register first to joint this trip due to provides the transportation and accommodation during that day. On the first day, there will be a half day field trip in Tukadaya village, Jembrana which using kaliandra pellet that provides green business with local farmer, government and other stakeholders. Please enjoy your trip and networking before back to Canggu for the International Worskhop on the next day. On the second and third days, the International workshop will consolidation after field visit. It provides presentation and focus group discussion (FGD) through the sustainable bioenergy business from European Commission projects, which are GreenWin and TRANSrisk.
