Knowledge Sharing on Innovations & Civic Engagement
European Partnership for Democracy
Event details
Description
In this interactive session, we’ll dive into how democratic innovations, like deliberative panels and digital participatory platforms, are reshaping how citizens engage with democracy.
To begin the conversation, the YDC welcomes Elisabet Vives, Lead of the Education, Youth and Civic Engagement (EYCE) Hub at LSE Consulting and a doctoral researcher at the University of Edinburgh. Elisabet works at the intersection of research, practice and policy to foster more democratic and inclusive societies, advising NGOs and public institutions on citizen engagement strategies.
What to expect:
- A practical introduction to democratic innovations, including deliberative and digital-participatory democracy
- Real-world case studies and critical insights into inclusion, inequality and power dynamics
- A space to reflect, exchange, and explore how these tools can support your work
- Identification of training and capacity-building needs among participants
This is a great opportunity to build shared understanding, learn from peers, and shape future learning activities together.
