On the occasion of the visit of the Head of UN Environment, Erik Solheim to Brussels from the 20th until the 22nd of June, UN Environment is hosting an open exchange on how to reinforce the environmental dimension of The Sustainable Development Agenda 2030 in the EU context.
The event will be an open discussion and topics can include your positions on the Commission proposal the next Multiannual Financial Framework of the EU budget and how to strengthen the mainstreaming of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the EU financial instruments.
In the context of preparations for the fourth UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-4) to be held in Nairobi 11-15 March 2019 we would also be interested to exchange on the UNEA 4 theme: ‘Innovative solutions for environmental challenges and sustainable consumption and production (SCP).’
Besides the topic of green/circular economy and SCP and innovation, other possible priority topics to be raised could include: Biodiversity, Healthy oceans, Climate change and Chemicals and waste.
