Event details
Description

This training course is a joint initiative of the TVET & Labour Market Management Team in Palestine in cooperation with the International Training Centre (ITC) of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the Joint Competence Development Network, Learn4Dev.
The TVET & Labour Market Management Team has been created in 2015 with the purpose of facilitating the joint implementation of the programmes of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Belgian Development Agency (BTC) in support of the TVET & Labour Market sector. This Team works in close cooperation with public and private stakeholders in Palestine. The Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, together with the Private Sector Institutions and the Social Partners are the main members.
The world of TVET and skills development is rapidly changing in this globalising world. Technical and vocational training centres are faced with new roles and complex challenges in an increasingly demand-driven environment. Changes in technologies and production processes require new professional competencies and constant adaptation to the skills needs of the labour markets. At the same time, the centres might have to comply with objectives of social equity and the need to also cater to groups with low educational and training levels.
The objective of the course is to prepare the managers of TVET institutions for these new realities so that they will be ready to run the training institutions of the future in a public private partnership framework.
