Meeting to Establish Coordination Mechanism on Biodiversity - African Hub

 AMCEN Decision of September 2012 and endorsed by the Executive Council of AU of January 2013 called for the establishment of a Coordination Mechanism on Biodiversity, comprising of 3 tiers; Expert, Ministerial and Heads of State levels. The AUC was requested to support the process. AH  in collaboration with DREA and HRST held a meeting to establish the mechanism from 15 August 2014 at AUC. About 20 participants drawn from AU Member States attended. A draft coordination mechanism was produced for review by AMCEN.
