Event details
Description
Building transnational partnerships and transcultural collaborations across Europe and with partners in the Global South to champion education for global digital and dialogical citizenship.
As part of the DEAR programme, the “DCYDE!” project harnesses the power of digitally supported and interactive GCE activities to deepen understanding of global interdependencies and inspire transformative engagement. “DCYDE!” focuses on building the capacities of educators and institutions to integrate GCE within schools and throughout communities. The project aims to revolutionise education systems by establishing hybrid learning environments that blend physical and digital spaces, empowering youth across Europe and the Global South. Innovative, youth-led, and gender-sensitive approaches may have the power to create vibrant learning communities that bridge real-life and virtual participation. This empowers young people to broaden their perspectives, collaborate globally, and catalyse positive change within and beyond their communities.
The DCYDE! Networking Event aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among education stakeholders (teachers, educators, CSOs, youth organisations, local authorities) to co-create innovative, youth-driven, and gender-sensitive hybrid Global Citizenship Education (GCE) environments. By leveraging digital media and online communication, the event will explore practical strategies for integrating GCE into daily teaching and non-formal education practices. Through case study presentations, workshops, and networking activities, participants will interact to build partnerships, share best practices, and develop actionable steps to establish vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable GCE learning communities that empower young people to address global challenges and drive positive change. The Networking Event will provide participants with the opportunity to meet new people, build relationships, and exchange ideas.
The event will be attended by delegations from various European countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovenia. An added value an added value will be the participation of experts from partners countries in the Global South. Overall, about 140 participants are expected to attend the event including: Experts & Facilitators from DCYDE! Partners and from the Global South; Teachers/Educators; CSO Workers; Youth Organizations’ members, Local Authorities; other multiplier partners.
