Description

Website/Registration: www.pedrr.org/mooc
Course Description: Nature offers many solutions to reduce the impacts of disasters and climate change, such as forests help stabilize slopes, sand dunes help protect coastlines, and wetlands help to buffer excess rainwater. This course will help you understand how to apply ‘Nature-based Solutions’ (NbS) by showing how people around the world are building resilience to disasters and climate change impacts. NbS for increasing disaster and climate resilience are relevant to everybody and each of us can take some actions – small or large in promoting them. The key to supporting NbS is through knowledge sharing and communications.
The course is offered in seven languages: English, French, Mandarin, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, and Indonesian. The course is freely available to everyone and is self-paced.
Anyone can take it, regardless of background.
