The Council of Europe’s North-South Centre’s Human Rights Education for Youth (HEY) programme is open for applications for its online training on Intercultural/Interfaith Dialogue.
Open for young professionals in Europe, Africa and the Middles East, the course will take place 23 June to 20 July. In addition to Global Education, the programme develops competences to defuse and recognise potential conflicts, actively promote a culture of peace and non-violence, mutual understanding between peoples of different cultures and religions.
This course builds on the past two years of tutored online training on “Global Education and Intercultural/Interfaith Dialogue” and is for young education practitioners, media professionals and members of Civil Society Organisations and Faith-Based Organisations

Human rights education is part of Global Education and SDG 4.7. - which aims to ensure that all learners acquire knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development and to contribute, among other, to promote a culture of global citizenship.
The training is part of the EU DEAR Programme’s iLEGEND III project. It is in partnership with the AKDN-Aga Khan Development Network, KAICIID-Dialogue Centre, United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and Universidad Católica de Valencia - European Institute of Education for Democratic Culture (ECUDEM-UCV), with the contribution of the Dicastery for the Interreligious Dialogue of the Holy See.
