People & Planet at the Learning Planet Festival 2025

Online workshop “Youth grab the wheel for People and Planet Education”

Within the programme of the Learning Planet Festival 2025, a conversation/workshop designed and organised by the DEAR-funded project People&Planet. 

How many times have you found yourself wanting to contribute to the sustainable development of your community but not knowing how to act? Or do you feel that you already do what you can, but without structural changes and support from local authorities and institutions, it is hard to achieve meaningful changes? 

The good news: it is possible to ally individual with collective action to promote a bigger change. And we have great examples to share with you.

The project “People and Planet: A Common Destiny" wants to mobilise young citizens and glocal (global+local) authorities in the fight against climate change in 8 EU Member States between 2020 and 2025. Here, young people are the main actors and drivers of change. 

Join us and hear about the experiences from young activists from Ireland, Italy, Portugal, and Spain on how they are creating positive change - be it at the local level or through cross-country collaboration. We will introduce you to a variety of participation models, challenges and solutions from and for youth participation in co-designing the future of learning.
