Event details
Description
The photo exhibition ‘Faces of the Neighbourhood: Travelling across EU cooperation with its Southern and Eastern Neighbours’ brings together photos taken for the EU-funded EU Neighbourhood Info Centre project by photographers of Agence France-Presse and the European Pressphoto Agency. It will be opened on Tuesday, 30 September, by high level representatives of European Institutions, the Italian Presidency of the Council and representatives of the Neighbourhood Partner Countries.
The pictures chosen for the exhibition epitomise concrete activities and projects that derive from a major EU external relations policy. Travelling though themes and space, the exhibition showcases examples of cooperation in sectors as different as migration, environment, research or youth, across all the countries of the region – south and east – demonstrating the human face of EU cooperation. The exhibition and the opening event will be an opportunity to highlight the achievements of the European Neighbourhood Policy at the end of the seven-year funding period 2007-2013, and to signal the way ahead for the next seven years under the new European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI). At this occasion the report 'European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI) 2007-2013 - Overview of Activities and Results' on support to Neighbourhood partners during the 2007-2013 financial period will also be presented to the public.
