Event details
Description
Background
The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) was established in 2003 by the Foreign Trade Association (FTA) in order to create consistency and harmonisation for companies wanting to improve their social compliance in the global supply chain. Learn more about the BSCI.
The BSCI Code of Conduct is a core foundation of BSCI and contains 10 labour requirements which BSCI participating companies commit to implement in their supply chains. Learn more about the BSCI Code of conduct
The Code has, until now, served on a three-year basis. The time has come for BSCI to revise its Code so that it will also consider the latest international texts and guidelines protective of workers' rights.
The BSCI Code has previously undergone an internal consultation among its participants. With this feedback integrated, BSCI invites all stakeholders and interested parties to provide their contribution on the current draft of the Code.
